Alex Mustakas is the founding Artistic Director and CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer, as he likes to refer to it) of Drayton Entertainment, one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit theatre organizations operating seven venues across Ontario. Over the past 30 years, he has directed over 100 productions for Drayton Entertainment and other theatre companies across Canada including Rocky, Rock of Ages, Million Dollar Quartet, Beauty and the Beast, the world premiere of Marathon of Hope: The Musical, It Runs in the Family, Spamalot, Les Misérables, 9 To 5: The Musical, Blood Brothers, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (and the North American Tour), and many other shows. Alex holds a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from City University in London, England, and an Honorary Doctorate from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Media & Entertainment, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal, the Maggie Bassett Award from Theatre Ontario, and the Governor General’s Meritorious Service Medal.
 
 
  The Hamilton Family Theatre seats 506 people, and was built in 2013.
 
The spectacular Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge is situated in a historic downtown setting along the Grand River. This stunning state-of-the-art performing arts facility, designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects, offers world-class acoustics and excellent sightlines that provide unparalleled intimacy between the audience and the stage. The Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge is named in honour of arts supporters John & Terry Hamilton. The Mattamy Auditorium is named in recognition of the outstanding community support of Mattamy Homes.
